Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri showcased the speed of the McLaren by securing the top two positions in the second practice session at the Belgian Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
Norris led the session, 0.215 seconds ahead of his teammate Piastri. Reigning world champion Max Verstappen, who is set to face a 10-place grid penalty for exceeding his allocated number of power units by taking his fifth internal combustion engine (ICE) at Spa-Francorchamps, finished in third place on the soft C4 tyre.<\/p>\n
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz placed fourth and fifth, respectively, but both were significantly off Norris’s pace, with Leclerc more than half a second behind and Sainz 0.838 seconds adrift. George Russell secured sixth place, while his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton ended the session in 10th.<\/p>\n
