During that event, Biles had pulled out after the first rotation to protect her mental and physical health, leading to her withdrawal from several other finals before returning to win bronze on the beam. She then delivered excellent performances on the bars and beam, culminating in a crowd-pleasing floor routine that sealed the gold medal. The entire arena erupted in applause as Biles and her teammates celebrated their victory.<\/p>\n<p>Despite her left calf being taped up, as it was in qualifying, there was no sign of it affecting her performance.
