Stroud, who was named the NFL&#8217;s Offensive Rookie of the Year last season. The Texans originally selected Mills in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he was thrust into a starting role as a rookie due to Deshaun Watson\u2019s legal issues and again in 2022 after Watson was traded to the Cleveland Browns.<\/p>\n<p>Mills started 26 games during his first two seasons, securing five wins during that span. Stroud, drafted No. 2 overall in 2023, took over as the starter, with Mills appearing in six games last season as his backup.<\/p>\n<p>In 34 career games, the 25-year-old Mills has completed 62.8% of his passes for 5,955 yards, with 35 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
