The ratings have been measured since 1988.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Each week as I update my personal NFL power ratings, there are several key stats that I&#39;ll be analyzing to upgrade\/downgrade specific units.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#39;s a look at some of those stats, starting with the offensive line: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WFpEHrzNKU\" target=\"_blank\">pic.twitter.com\/WFpEHrzNKU<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sam Hoppen (@SamHoppen) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SamHoppen\/status\/1833889442718785949?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">September 11, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>That means 123 million people saw at least part of 1 match, its highest total for an opening week in 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A phenomenal beginning with the viewership. It was great to be back and a lot to be happy about,&#8221; claimed Hans Schroeder, the executive vice president of the league.<\/p>\n<p>NBC had the most-watched match, with the defending champs\u2019 Kansas City beating 27-20 Baltimore on TNF\u2019s opener, averaging over 29 million on television and different platforms.<\/p>\n<p>It was NBC&#8217;s 2<sup>nd<\/sup>-largest regular-campaign match since 2006 when they bought the rights.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Brady&#8217;s debut match as Fox&#8217;s top analyst \u2013 the Cowboys\u2019 33-17 victory against the Browns \u2013 averaged almost 24 million people.<\/p>\n<p>The league admitted that the numbers even exceeded their expectations as they are proud of the match that was played in Brazil and are happy with the ratings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Football League averaged 21.0 million viewers per match during the NFL\u2019s opening week, making it the most-watched Week 1 ever.
