He previously spent seven years with the <a href=\"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/nba\/team\/indiana-pacers\/\">Indiana Pacers<\/a>, two with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and five with the Los Angeles Clippers. Over his 14-year career, George, a nine-time NBA All-Star, has averaged 20.8 points per game.<\/p>\n<p>This preseason game, held in Des Moines, Iowa, was also a homecoming for Philadelphia head coach Nick Nurse, who grew up in the state. Nurse, a graduate of Grand View University in Des Moines, had previously coached Minnesota\u2019s G-League team.
