Arimont&#8217;s request comes after Liberty Media&#8217;s acquisition of Dorna, the company that controls MotoGP, which he claims breaches European competition laws by creating a monopoly in motorsport.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Libery media now owns F1, MotoGP and a controlling stake in Formula E<\/p>\n<p>Surely it has to be illegal against EU laws?? Arimont argues that Liberty Media&#8217;s control over multiple major motorsport series threatens market competition.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the only legal scrutiny Liberty Media faces. In the United States, the company is under investigation by both the US Congress and the Department of Justice for allegedly blocking the Andretti team&#8217;s entry into Formula 1.
