Bournemouth\u2019s persistence paid off in the ninth minute when Milos Kerkez delivered a cut-back from the byline, which Semenyo slotted home, giving Bournemouth an early lead. City, despite dominating possession, struggled to generate any meaningful threat in a frustrating first half.<\/p>\n<p>The hosts continued their momentum in the second half, with Ederson narrowly denying Evanilson\u2019s initial attempt just after the restart. Shortly afterward, Josko Gvardiol\u2019s header found the net to pull City within one. However, Bournemouth held firm, preventing City from finding an equalizer and sealing a remarkable victory.<\/p>\n<p>This defeat sees City slip to second in the league as Liverpool overtook them with a comeback win over Brighton.
