Another reason for benching Jones right now is that the GM, Joe Schoen, will try to avoid paying another 23 million dollars to Daniel in case he gets injured until the end of the campaign and given the fact that the team can\u2019t advance to the postseason, starting DeVito until the end of the campaign makes the most sense for the franchise and of the ownership.
