The injury is expected to keep the U.S. international forward out until early January.<\/p>\n<p>Pulisic sustained the injury during the first half of Milan\u2019s 2-1 loss to Atalanta on Friday after a tough tackle from Mario Pa\u0161ali\u0107. He limped off the field and underwent an MRI, which confirmed the severity of the damage. While Sky Italia suggests Pulisic could return for the league game against Roma on Dec. 29, The Athletic reports his focus may be on recovering in time for the Supercoppa Italia semifinal against Juventus on Jan. 3.<\/p>\n<p>Pulisic&#8217;s injury is a significant blow to AC Milan, which has been struggling in Serie A. After a defeat to Atalanta, Milan sits seventh in the league, trailing leaders Atalanta by 12 points.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Pulisic has been Milan\u2019s standout attacking performer, leading the team with eight goals and five assists.
