The Washington Commanders have given DT Jonathan Allen the opportunity to seek a trade, GM Adam Peters shared, signaling an end to their 8-year time together.<\/p>\n
The general manager shared only positive things about the defensive tackle and shared his gratitude for the time that Allen spent with the organization. However, that doesn\u2019t mean that Jonathan will leave the team for certain.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything is still possible in terms of whether he will be traded or remain Commanders player,\u201d the GM revealed. \u201cIt is a process at the moment. It is still too early to predict the outcome.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jonathan, a 2-time Pro Bowler, has a cap hit of 22.3 million dollars. The franchise would save 16.3 million dollars in cap space whether the DT is traded or released before the beginning of June.<\/p>\n
