The other time that this happened was over 100 years ago when Dorothea Lambert Chambers triumphed in such a way vs. Dora Boothby.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">This has only happened once before \ud83e\udd2f\u23ec<\/p>\n<p>Iga Swiatek has beaten Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 to win Wimbledon &#8211; it&#39;s just the second time in the Open Era that a Grand Slam singles final has finished in a &#39;double bagel&#39;. <\/p>\n<p>The other was the 1988 French Open final. She won for the 1<sup>st<\/sup> time on grass as she also had 4 titles at the Roland-Garros and 1 at the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>Iga becomes the 8<sup>th<\/sup> women&#8217;s player all-time and only active right now to triumph on all 3 surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish won the 1<sup>st<\/sup> set after only 25 minutes, and all the spectators knew that this would not be a competitive match, but rather a lecture from Iga.
