Seeing all the fans in my own grandstand directly opposite the McLaren garage is going to be an amazing experience and I\u2019m really looking forward to feeling the energy and the atmosphere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old also thanked the organizers and his supporters, adding: \u201cThanks to everyone who has made this happen and thanks in advance to everyone who wants to be part of it. The Australian fans always turn out to support me and this is just an extra reason why I can\u2019t wait to race in Melbourne in 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Piastri\u2019s manager and former Red Bull star Mark Webber praised the move as both symbolic and deserved. \u201cIt\u2019s magnificent news for the event and for Oscar,\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news find Piastri leading the Formula 1 drivers\u2019 standings by nine points ahead of his McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
