Charles Leclerc is tied down long-term, though his deal includes an exit clause. Hamilton, meanwhile, holds an option for 2027, but sources suggest he is unlikely to trigger it unless he feels the team\u2019s commitment to him remains strong.<\/p>\n
So far, the partnership hasn\u2019t delivered the expected results as the seven-time world champion is yet to stand on the podium this season and has only outperformed Leclerc in six competitive sessions. Unless his form improves, it is hard to imagine the relationship extending beyond the end of 2026.<\/p>\n
Former Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz believes the door to Maranello isn\u2019t closed to him.
