Just appreciate the present and also maximizing his present.\u2019 And that onus potentially falling on the Lakers and what team they put around him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The numbers show James is still producing at an elite level. In 2024-25, he averaged 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. Despite finishing with a 50-32 record and claiming the third seed in the West, the Lakers fell at the first hurdle in the playoffs, losing to the Minnesota Timberwolves.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, James opted into his $52.6 million player option for 2025-26.
