The four-time Formula 1 world champion will line up in an Emil Frey Ferrari 296, sharing the car with Chris Lulham in Saturday\u2019s four-hour race at the legendary Nordschleife.<\/p>\n<p>This step comes just two weeks after Verstappen competed in a restricted Porsche Cayman GT4 in the same series to secure a special license required to race GT3 machinery at the \u201cGreen Hell.\u201d Having now obtained that license, he will be chasing overall victory for the first time in what many see as a natural progression from his GT4 outing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is my passion to do these kinds of GT3 races too \u2014 I can\u2019t wait,\u201d said the 27-year-old, fresh off his win at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last weekend. \u201cI\u2019m passionate about racing, also outside of Formula 1.
