{"id":495651,"date":"2025-09-26T00:26:40","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T04:26:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=495651"},"modified":"2025-09-25T17:32:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T21:32:42","slug":"lakers-extend-head-coach-redick-deal-ahead-of-the-campaign","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/7sport.net\/en\/news\/lakers-extend-head-coach-redick-deal-ahead-of-the-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Lakers extend head coach Redick deal ahead of the campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LA Lakers manager JJ Redick has received a deal extension before the start of his 2nd campaign with the organization, GM Rob Pelinka revealed today.<\/p>\n<p>JJ had inked a 4-year, a 32 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of his debut season one year ago.<\/p>\n<p>LA finished with a 50-32 record in Reddick\u2019s 1<sup>st<\/sup> season as a boss before being eliminated by the Timberwolves in the 1<sup>st<\/sup> round of the postseason.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of his appointment in the past summer, JJ had no previous experience of leading a team in the NBA. During his career in the league, Reddick played for 6 organizations in his 15 years before retiring after the 2020-21 season, then worked as an analyst on TV before becoming head coach of the Lakers.<\/p>\n<p>JJ made the leadership in Los Angeles happy after his 50 victories in his debut campaign as a head coach in the NBA, and they decided to offer him an extension.
