Speaking at the Philadelphia 76ers\u2019 media day, the veteran forward insisted he still belongs among the NBA\u2019s elite.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m the Paul George that the 76ers went out and signed,\u201d George said. \u201cI do think I still have a lot of game in me, playing at a high level. That\u2019s still who I am. I gotta get healthy to get to that point. I won\u2019t be a part of camp going into it, but I do have a voice and being part of the team and helping the young guys and touch that point early on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Sixers committed to George in a big way last summer, signing him to a four-year, $211 million contract with hopes that pairing him alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey would push the franchise into contention.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Paul George thinks he\u2019s still an elite basketball player<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m the Paul George that the 76ers went out and signed. But his first season in Philadelphia raised concerns.
