The defensive end is listed as questionable for the clash because of a hip problem.<\/p>\n<p>The franchise is optimistic that Trey will be able to return for the Week 8 match vs. the NY Jets.<\/p>\n<p>The DE, who didn\u2019t appear in the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> half of the past weekend\u2019s 27-18 defeat vs. the Packers after sustaining his hip injury, did not train during the whole week.<\/p>\n<p>Trey, who had almost 18 sacks in both 2023 and 2024, leads Cincinnati with 4 sacks in 6 matches in the current campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his expected absence, the Bengals could trust edge rusher Shemar Stewart as the rookie returns after a 4-match absence. Shemar didn\u2019t compete since suffering an ankle problem in Cincinnati\u2019s 2<sup>nd<\/sup> match of the new season.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the week, Cincinnati DC Al Golden revealed that he expected the rookie to have a crucial role for the upcoming match against the Steelers. The Bengals are in a 4-match losing streak after winning their 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2 games of the new season.
