The Dutch star slammed the negativity during the tough run of the Reds that saw them lose 4 straight matches in the Premier League.<\/p>\n<p>The Reds won 2-0 against Villa as Mo Salah and Ryan Gravenberch netted the winning goals. After the victory, captain Van Dijk spoke with the media and revealed this:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I read in the past several weeks is that a lot of people criticized us, and that is something that you can\u2019t control.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMost of the negativity was definitely unnecessary. But you can\u2019t change what people are talking about.
