However, after the French superstar underwent an MRI scan yesterday, it was revealed that he has a knee ligament problem.<\/p>\n<p>He will miss Real Madrid\u2019s match at Valdebebas as Mbappe has appeared in almost every game since the beginning of the season and established himself as the key figure in the Royal club\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n<p>Real Madrid\u2019s next game will be on Sunday at the Bernabeu against Betis. Xabi Alonso\u2019s side must win this match if they want to continue to be competitive with Barcelona for the title, as the Catalan side is 4 points clear at the top of the table ahead of the resumption of the Spanish league from the international break.
