While Roy still thinks that Carrick would not be able to triumph with the Premier League title, he has admitted that Michael has taken advantage of the opportunity so far.<\/p>\n<p>However, the former legend of Manchester United warned supporters that recent victories do not solve the Red Devils\u2019 long-term problems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will be happy if they give the permanent job to Carrick,\u201d Keane shared. \u201cI hope that after the end of the season, they make him the permanent manager. But I still don\u2019t think that this would be the right decision. But if Man United chiefs decide to trust him long-term, I\u2019m happy with that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an interim head coach, it\u2019s a lot different from being the permanent boss of Manchester United and aiming to win the EPL in the next 2, 3, 4, 5 years,\u201d added Roy.<\/p>\n<p>Keane also claimed that the bosses of the Red Devils should aim higher in their search for a long-term manager in the summer.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Roy Keane: &quot;I hope they give it [Man Utd job] to him [Carrick].
