Washington Wizards GM Will Dawkins shared today that he expects Anthony Davis to return to the court in the current campaign, but they will know more about that during the All-Star break.<\/p>\n
The Wizards\u2019 general manager’s remarks came 24 hours after The Athletic, citing a resource in the NBA, wrote that the franchise from the USA capital was likely to shut down the injured center until the end of the campaign.<\/p>\n
Wizards acquired Anthony, who has been recovering from a sprained finger on his non-shooting hand in the past month, ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline as the centerpiece of an 8-player exchange with the Mavs. Davis initial expected return timeline was a month and a half.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the moment, the plan for Davis is to return to Dallas, finish his rehab,” the Wizards general manager shared with the media. \u201cDuring the All-Star break, Anthony takes another visit to a doctor. And that\u2019s the moment when we will know more about his condition and when he will be able to play.\u201d<\/p>\n
