The Kansas City Chiefs said to RT Jawaan Taylor that he will be cut before the beginning of the league\u2019s new year, barring a trade.<\/p>\n
That will save Kansas City 20 million dollars vs. the salary cap and will allow them to be under the cap when the NFL year begins later this month.<\/p>\n
It is the latest cap-trimming move by the organization, which also cut veteran DE Mike Danna and restructured QB Patrick Mahomes’ deal in February.<\/p>\n
The Chiefs could create even more cap space by releasing LB Drue Tranquill and TE Noah Gray, while also restructuring the deals of pass rusher Chris Jones and center Creed Humphrey. Kansas City began the offseason almost 60 million dollars over the cap.<\/p>\n
