However, a contract averaging 29 million dollars per campaign ensured the WR\u2019s return.<\/p>\n<p>Alec had his best campaign as a pro last year, surpassing 1,000 receiving yards for the 1st time in his career and leading the league in yards per catch for the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> consecutive season. Pierce finished with 1,003 receiving yards on 47 catches for a 21.3 yards per reception average.<\/p>\n<p>Already 1 of the best deep-ball threats in football, Alec further solidified himself in that regard; 36.2% of his receptions were for 20 yards or longer. He also finished with a career-low 1 dropped pass.<\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis started the past year with the hottest offense in the league.
