Hamlin returns to Buffalo&#8217;s safety room, which has added C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Geno Stone during free agency.<\/p>\n<p>A 6<sup>th<\/sup>-round selection 5 years ago, Damar started his time in the NFL as a Buffalo reserve and special teams footballer. Hamlin had chances to start in 2022 because of injuries, including a January 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2023, MNF match vs. the Bengals during which he experienced cardiac arrest and had to be resuscitated on the field.<\/p>\n<p>After recovering, Damar was medically cleared to return to the NFL and made the choice to continue his career, serving as a reserve in 2023.
