Bayern Munich are the other team that also held formal talks with the Magpies, but the Bavarian side is not willing to pay the price that Newcastle want for Gordon.<\/p>\n<p>The Magpies&#8217; chief executive, David Hopkinson, claimed a few months ago that the club would only sell footballers on its terms. Newcastle values Anthony at about 70 million pounds as the forward has a long-term contract with the side until 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle will need to rebuild after the disappointing past campaign, as they finished 12<sup>th<\/sup> in the EPL and will not play in Europe.
