The ex-Rossoneri star shared with the media that he had reached out to his ex-boss about taking charge after the Italian football team failed to qualify for the World Championship for 3<sup>rd<\/sup> straight time.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining what happened, Carlo revealed this: \u201cIt\u2019s not about the deal, that\u2019s not the reason. I\u2019m staying because I promised this to Brazil, and the people welcomed me warmly during my 1<sup>st<\/sup> year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m happy to be the head coach of Selecao,\u201d Ancelotti added. \u201cI\u2019m thankful to the Italian football federation that they wanted me to lead my country, but the right decision for me is to stay where I was welcomed so warmly and given the opportunity to work.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\ud83d\udc94\ud83c\udde7\ud83c\uddf7 Carlo Ancelotti tells ESPN: \u201c I think we lost the World Cup during the hydration break vs Norway.<\/p>\n<p>Why?
