Betway has developed a number of mobile apps for its Android and iPhone fans showcasing every section of its web platform.

All in all, Betway has two apps on Google Play Canada – Betway Ontario: Sports Betting and Betway Real Money Casino Games. Residents living outside Ontario can get a dedicated Android app on Betway Canada’s website. Anyway, downloading and installing a Betway mobile app for Android devices is a piece of cake regardless of the source.

To get the Ontario app, go to GooglePlay, type Betway into the search bar, and click the “Install” button. To get the Android app from Betway’s official website, scan the QR code on the Download page to download the .apk file.

To install the file, configure your phone or tablet to accept third-party apps from unknown sources before proceeding with the installation process. Don’t worry – the app is safe and secure and its absence from the official Google Play store may be due to bureaucratic rather than any security-related reasons.

Plus, as renowned as Betway has become in Canada, offering a buggy, insecure mobile app would be in direct contradiction to its quest to gain more fans, wouldn’t it?

When it comes to iOS, Betway has adopted a slightly different approach to weaving its way to Apple’s mobile platform. If you own an iPhone or an iPad, you’ve got as many as four different Betway apps at your disposal, and all can be found on Apple’s official App Store: Betway – Live Sports Betting, Betway Real Money Casino Games, Betway: Real Money Live Casino, and Betway Vegas: Real Money Slots. Such a modular arrangement gives you more flexibility. For example, you could only get the Betway sports betting app if you don’t care about casino and live casino games, and vice versa.

While Betway’s managers have specifically stated that their Betway Sports betting app on Google Play can only be used in Ontario, they haven’t provided such details regarding any of its four entries on the Apple App Store, which is why you should test the app to see if you will be able to use within your place of residence. If it doesn’t load, there’s no room for worry – just open Betway’s web platform for the rest of Canada to get full access to all the features.

Once you’ve got one or more Betway mobile apps on your device, open any of them to set up your account in case you haven’t done that already or simply log into your account if you’ve already got one through the website. Betway’s developers have done their best to include as many of the features found on the desktop version as possible. The welcome bonuses are all there, as are the bet builder and the built-in live streaming platform. The registration form and the payment methods are identical to their desktop counterparts, too, with the minor exception of a different layout optimized for smaller screens.

Apart from that, you can place a pre-game or in-play sports bet, gamble on a slot, play live roulette/blackjack/baccarat games, pick a payment processor for depositing and withdrawing funds, and contact customer support if need be. You may not have access to some of the older games found on the website, but you’ll be getting each new addition to the library the moment it has landed on it. Betway’s arsenal of mobile Android and iOS apps bring your dependency on local internet access to an end and enable you to bet and play on the go. Granted, you’d need mobile data to do that, but who wouldn’t in this day and age?

There are two ways to get your Betway Mobile app up and running on your Android phone or tablet. Here’s the rundown on the steps you need to go through.

  Open the Google Play Store on your mobile device and type “Betway” into the app search box

• STEP: 2

  Your search query will yield two results – Betway Ontario: Sports Betting and Betway Real Money Casino Games, both developed by the Betway Group

• STEP: 3

  Choose one of the apps and click the underlying “Install” button. Remember to check how much memory space you’ve got left on your device before hand as lack of sufficient space may impede your progress

• STEP: 4

  Once the app has installed, open it to start your mobile Betway experience

• STEP: 5

  If you also want to use the second Betway app, repeat the procedure to get it, as well. You won’t need to register a second account for it – just use the login credentials you set up the first time around

Betway Website

If you live outside Ontario, getting the Betway mobile app through Google Play would not be an option for the time being. Luckily, Betway has developed a workaround to provide a viable solution to all its non-Ontario users. The procedure is identical to the one above, albeit with a few tweaks here and there.

• STEP: 1

  Go to the official Betway Canada website and the Home Page in particular

• STEP: 2

  Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the Home page and click on a small tab that says “Download our Android app” located in the left corner of your screen

• STEP: 3

  Click Yes when prompted to allow the download process to start

• STEP: 4

  Go to your Downloads folder in Android’s File Explorer and click on the .APK file you just downloaded from the Betway website. When you do that, a pop-up message will ask for permission to install apps from unknown sources since you haven’t got the underlying Betway Mobile .APK from the official Google Play Store in Canada. Click “Allow” to initiate installation

• STEP: 5

  Go to your Apps list and click on the Betway Sports app icon to start betting on your favorite sports teams or embark on thrilling casino adventures

While there’s a tab that says “Download on the App Store” next to the Android one in the bottom left corner of the Betway Canada Home page, clicking on that icon won’t get you a file to install. Instead, it will redirect you to Betway’s Sportsbook Home page, which has the same tab at the bottom center of the page. If you click on this tab in particular, you will be redirected to the Betway Sports betting tab on Apple’s official App Store.

We played with the other sections on Betway Canada’s website and were able to spot the same “Download on the App Store” icon on the Esports, Casino, Live Casino, and Vegas home pages, respectively. Every time we pressed this button (regardless of the corresponding page), we were redirected to the Betway Live Sports Betting app on the App Store.

Note! In addition to Betway’s website for the rest of Canada, we also checked out Betway’s Ontario website, only to come across the exact same scenario. Clicking the “Download on the App Store” on the Main Home page redirected us to Betway Ontario’s Sports page, which, in turn, brought us to the same Betway Live Sports Betting app on the App Store.

App Store

Based on our findings outlined above, we’ve come to the conclusion that Betway’s mobile app(s) are now only available on Apple’s official App Store in Canada. Here are the steps to get the mobile app:

  Open your iPhone or iPad device and go to the App Store

• STEP: 2

  Type “Betway” into the search box. If done right, your search query should yield 4 Betway apps: – Betway – Live Sports Betting, Betway Real Money Casino Games, Betway: Real Money Live Casino, and Betway Vegas: Real Money Slots

• STEP: 3

  Select the Betway – Live Sports Betting app and click on the “Get”button next to it to start the download and installation process

• STEP: 4

  Launch the app on your device and start using it

Note! The remaining three mobile Betway apps on the App Store feature an identical UI to that of the Betway – Live Sports Betting app.

Regardless of the OS (Android or iOS), the mobile Betway app provides a wealth of features aimed at making your gambling experience as good as possible.

Smart Functionality

Depending on your preferences, you may find Betway’s mobile UI more convenient to use. Compared to the full-blown website platform, we found it slightly more intuitive. It also proved a bit faster when switching from one section to another.

One App, Many Features

Knowing how many pages of web content we had to go through when we checked out Betway’s website platform, we did expect to see some of it on the mobile app but we never expected to see that much of it squeezed into Betway’s mobile app. In a nutshell, you can do pretty much anything on the mobile app just as well as you would via web.

Easy to Use and Smartly Organized

The Betway mobile app is well-organized and every essential feature is, for the most part, just a click or two away. You can browse your favorite sports markets, keep track of the newest promo offers, cash out winnings, as well as watch the games you’ve bet on in real time. All in all, a good job on that front.

As delighted as we were while checking out Betway’s Android app and its iOS counterpart, we’ve also come across a couple of issues we’d like to see fixed in the foreseeable future.

Live Chat Support

As you know, Betway supports email, live-chat and phone communication channels to address technical and other related issues customers may experience every once in a while. According to some customers, however, the live-chat feature may be a bit hard to get to at times because you’d have to read tons of the most frequently reported issues before you get in touch with a live support agent.

Location-Related Issues

While some customers would love to see a fast-track access path to Betway’s support department, others have reported that the app may sometimes miscalculate their exact location. This is especially possible if you live just outside the Ontarian border or very close to it.

Using the mobile Betway App is pretty self-explanatory due to its concise UI and optimized design, so let’s just focus on the most important steps here.

How to Sign up and Log In

If you have installed the mobile Betway app on your Android or iPhone/iPad device, you’d need to sign up if you haven’t already done so using the website platform. The account registration process is one and the same and we have explained it in detail in our dedicated Betway Registration Review. Nevertheless, let’s pinpoint the steps in short.

How to Use the Features

Using the mobile Betway app is intuitive because every section has a dedicated tab at the top of the home page. Clicking on, say, Sports, will get you to Betway’s sportsbook containing dozens of sports categories. The latter track hundreds of championships across the globe, which means you’ve got hundreds or even thousands of games to bet on every day. Considering that every sports category may have dozens of additional markets), one can’t help but marvel at the sheer magnitude of betting opportunities.

Clicking on Casino, Live Casino, or Vegas will bring you to hundreds of classic table games and slot machines, either online, or in a simulated live-dealer environment. The number of games is growing and we expect to see many new additions from the world’s leading game developers in due course. If you wish to play a game you haven’t played before, Betway has got you covered in the Betway Insider Blog. There’s also a detailed knowledge section on the website under each corresponding section and you can consult it any time you want to.

The Bet Builder we talked about in the main Betway website review is alive and kicking on the mobile app, too, and you can use it just as effectively as on Betway’s full-blown website equivalent. Last but not least, the live streaming platform has also found a place in the mobile Betway Canada app, which is a welcome present for all in-play betting maniacs.

Besides the mobile Betway Canada and Ontario apps we’ve studied so far, we also took a detailed look at Betway’s mobile website optimized for smaller screens. In this respect, the text size is pretty much the only notable difference in comparison to the full-blown desktop variant.

Also, some of the betting rules and games explanations may not be present on the mobile website, so you might need to migrate to its bigger brother for reference occasionally.

Anyway, the mobile version of Betway Canada’s website features every betting opportunity and every gambling option you’ll expect to see in any operator. It will also allow you to play and bet from the comfort of your phone. All you need is an Internet connection.

Rather than installing the app, you may decide to opt for its web counterpart. In Betway’s case, we found no significant differences in terms of layout, UI and design, so we guess you’d do no wrong using either solution.

Based on our experience, however, we’ve noticed that the app tends to respond a tad quicker to our commands. Also, the mobile app isn’t susceptible to any glitches or crashes your web browser may experience, and browsers often tend to take up a lot of system memory if you open way too many tabs simultaneously, which may slow down your bet placements even further. Try and see for yourselves.

If you’ve recently set up your account via Betway’s website, you know what to expect in terms its welcome offer options because you can pick one upon registration. If you were to register via the mobile app, you’d be presented with identical offers, so no discrimination here. While know for a fact that some rivals occasionally offer mobile exclusive promos to lure clients into going mobile, we found no mobile-specific bonuses while we were checking out the Betway mobile app.

Still, there were more than enough active promotions anyway. You’ve got a welcome offer attached to each section of the app – sports, esports, casino, live casino, and Vegas. However, you can only pick ONE welcome offer, so choose wisely depending on what your passion is. Read the playthrough requirements attached to each offer, as well. When we checked out Betway’s web platform, we were delighted to see a vast number of approved payment processors, ranging from traditional credit/debit cards to modern web-based solutions. The mobile app doesn’t disappoint, either. If you were to start using Betway mobile, you’d be able to use such payment service providers as:

• Payz (f/k/a ecoPayz)

While you can use either a VISA or a MasterCard to deposit funds, you won’t be able to withdraw funds with the latter for reasons that have yet to be revealed. However, there’s no need for worry because you can choose an alternative withdrawal method even if you used a MasterCard to channel funds into your Betway account.

Betway has set up a minimum withdrawal amount of C$10. All withdrawal requests are subject to a customer verification check which may last up to 72 hours (if you submitted your request on a Friday night or in the weekend), so bear that in mind if you need the cash right away. On the flip side, most web-based payment solutions will waste no time processing your transaction once the verification check is over.
