Boston Celtics player Sam Hauser – 1 of the league’s most accurate shooters from the 3-point line – has agreed to a 4-year, 45 million dollar deal extension.
Sam, who will make 2 million dollars in the upcoming campaign, will be under a deal through 2028-29 on a Boston payroll that is set to become 1 of the most costly in the National Basketball Association history.
Undrafted out of the University of Virginia 3 years ago, the forward has been a Boston development success story and had a crucial role in the organization’s championship ascension. Hauser shot over 42% from the 3-point line in the past campaign, 4th best among basketballers with 400-plus attempts. In his career, Sam scored 42.2% of his 3-pointers.
Besides Sam, Boston has inked All-NBA superstar Jayson Tatum (5 years, 315 million dollars) and Derrick White (4 years, 125 million dollars) on extensions during the offseason.
