The 26-year-old’s release clause of about 65 million pounds was announced by the Cherries’ chief, Bill Foley, during an interview in July.
The 2 teams are however negotiating a fee below that for the forward, who has played 1 match for the Three Lions.
Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou wants to reinforce his attack after failing to replace star Harry Kane after the former Spurs captain left in the past summer to join Bayern Munich.
If the transfer happens it would be a record sale for Bournemouth, exceeding the 40 million pounds they got from the Sky Blues for defender Nathan Ake 4 years ago.
Solanke landed with the Cherries for 19 million pounds from Liverpool 5 years ago. Bournemouth owner revealed last month that he hoped the forward would stay but the club had 2 or 3 candidates as potential replacements in case Solanke leaves.
