Alexander Zverev, world number 4, defeated world number 7 Casper Ruud, 3-1 sets, and will play for the title at the Grand Slam on clay in Paris on Sunday against Carlos Alcaraz.

Ruud started the match better as he dominated in the 1st set and won it 6-2 after converting 2 break opportunities. However, after that, the Norwegian was visible in pain and his level dropped drastically.
Zverev took advantage of that and he won the 2nd set 6-2 to tie the sets. Casper’s problems continued and Alexander won the 3rd set to take the lead and despite that Ruud took pills and had a medical timeout, things didn’t look brighter as the times go and his German opponent closed the match with a 6-2 in the 4th set.
Zverev will have the chance to lift the title at the French Open but the German will be the underdog against Alcaraz in the final at the end of the weekend.
Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev will face each other in the Roland Garros final.
Zverev leads the head to head 5-4, but Carlos won their most recent meeting at Indian Wells this year.
