Several of AC Milan’s key players have expressed their support for their former technical director, Paolo Maldini, who was suddenly sacked by the club. For most of them it was circulated in the local media that they were left disappointed and perplexed by this move by the Milan owner Gerry Cardinale, and it seems that the information was true.

The big star of the Rossoneri – Rafael Leao published a story on Instagram listening to music in his car on the way to Lisbon. It is striking how the Portuguese international not only smiles ironically, but also makes an eloquent gesture of closing his mouth.

Another player brought in by Maldini and his associate Frederic Massara, Mike Meignan, took a different but also curious strategy. He uploaded two photos from his presentation as a Milan player, in which he is together with the two directors and their former colleague Ivan Gazidis. The goalkeeper wrote to the photos “Milan forever”, but instead of the dot of the “i” in “Milan” he put “?”, which did not go unnoticed by the fans.
