Albania is keen on keeping Sylvinho as their head-coach beyond Euro 2024 as they are more than satisfied with the Brazilian’s work.
The Albanians qualified for the Euros next summer and they plan on reaching their first ever World Cup qualification for 2026. And they see in Sylvinho the right man to lead them to that glory.
The Brazilian currently has a contract with the national team until 2024, but the president of the football federation announced it will offer him a contract extension.
“I believe in the next days we will offer the contract renewal (for) after the European,” the president of Albania FA, Armand Duka, said.
Sylvinho was hired in January together with his two assistants — countryman Doriva and Argentinian Pablo Zabaleta.
For the time being he has refused to comment his future and hasn’t given any information about his commitment.
“I prefer to live the unbelievable moment to dream for us and prepare the team from the next six or seven months,” he said.
