Los Angeles Lakers took a 3-1 lead over Golden State Warriors after a brilliant win on Monday.
One of the highlights of the game was Laker’s forward Anthony Davis switching roles to a more defensive position, having to fend off Golden State’s avalanche of persistent attacks.
“Man, I pride myself on defense. The Warriors wanted, obviously, to switch with me, and I took that personal,” Davis commented after the game.
“I know when Curry gets to his step-back three … I just wanted to move them puppies and keep him in front and make him take a tough shot. And that’s what I did. … I just wanted to make it tough on him and make him shoot over a contested hand and pray that he missed.”
Stephen Curry was guarded by Davis in the closing 38 seconds of the match and that paid dividends for the Los Angeles team as he missed both of his opportunities.
The Lakers’ man revealed he was all fired up for his matchup against Curry and that eventually led to him making the crucial stops.
