The club from Old Trafford announced that they are taking the allegations “seriously” and allowed the winger to take some time off the pitch to address the allegations while receiving his full salary.
Antony had been in his home country after reporting for the national team but was dismissed from the Brazilian squad when the news of the allegations became public.
The Brazilian police raised no objections about Antony flying back to England.
