The Gunners head coach admitted that this was his team's worst performance of the season.

Mikel Arteta claimed that his club’s 2-1 loss against Fulham was their “worst performance of the campaign.”

Bukayo Saka netted in the 5th minute, but goals from Raúl Jiménez and Bobby De Cordova-Reid saw Fulham make a comeback and beat the Gunners as that was Arteta’s side 2nd straight defeat in the league as the club is now 4th in the Premier League after being at the top a week ago.

The North London team’s next match will be against Liverpool in the FA Cup 3rd round, but the club will compete in the Premier League again on January 20th.

“Without a doubt, our team needs that reset after today because that awful feeling after the defeat will be with us these days,” Arteta admitted.

“The match vs. West Ham feels very different so that you can put it behind you. It’s football, defeats happen.”

The Spaniard added that what happened against Fulham was unacceptable and couldn’t happen again.
