Aston Martin have set themselves and ambitious aim for the remainder of 2023 and that is overtaking Mercedes and Ferrari in the Constructors Championship, which would lead them to second place.
The team had a phenomenal start of the 2023 campaign, which huge leap in performance in comparison to 2022. They were Red Bull’s nearest challenger and star man Fernando Alonso scored 6 podiums in the opening 8 races.
However, a lack of upgrades and a significant development from other teams has led to serious dip in form, which made Aston Martin lose 2nd to Mercedes and most recently 3rd to Ferrari.
With 8 rounds remaining Performance Director, Tom McCullogh has set out the teams ambitions for the remainder of the campaign.

“The target is to try to get back to second in the constructors’ championship,” he said. “That’s a brave target, against some fierce competition.”
“Margins are fine at this stage of the season and now it comes down to who can bring a few more developments to the track and who can execute the best weekends – operationally, and from the drivers’ side as well.”
