The Oakland franchise can have a new home.

The Oakland Athletics confirmed that they could build their new stadium in pieces of the current Tropicana property that is located in the Las Vegas Strip.

Bally’s Corp. shared with the media today that, in partnership with Gaming & Leisure Properties, Inc., they have received a green light for the upcoming project.

They plan to build a ballpark with a capacity of 30,000 fans that can attract almost 3 million people every year. The project will cost around 1.5 billion dollars with almost 400 million dollars in public financing.

“We are very happy about the possibility of bringing MLS to this emblematic location,” shared Athletics president Dave Kaval in a statement.
