Carolina got forward Callahan Burke in exchange
The 2022 Stanley Cup champion Colorado Avalanche signed defender Caleb Jones from the Carolina Hurricanes.
In exchange, the Hurricanes got forward Callahan Burke.
Last season, the 26-year-old Jones played for the Chicago Blackhawks and recorded a career-high 16 points after scoring four goals and adding 12 assists in 73 games. In August, he signed a one-year contract with Carolina as a free agent worth only $775,000.
Burke, also 26, played just two games for the Avalanche last season. He spent the majority of the campaign with the Colorado Eagles of the AHL, scoring 16 goals and 23 assists in 70 games.
