Barcelona reduce their debt by generating nearly 300m euros in profit

Barcelona have announced that they have made huge steps in reducing their debt, by generating a profit of about 300 million euros during the course of the 2022-23 season.

A statement from the club read that they have significantly reduced their huge debt by about 20% in the space of one year.

The Catalans have been plagued by financial issues forcing them to offload big player names such as Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele.

“These results have been achieved in a season that will go down in history for the record operational figures in the commercial and venue operation sections,” the statement read.

The statement further expressed the team’s aspiration to continue their efficient line of business as they predict an uprise in sales during the 2023-24 season.
