Saquon Barkley does not plot to sign the tender until the offseason of his team New York Giants goes ahead on Monday.
I’m told Saquon Barkley will not be signing the franchise tag & therefore will not be eligible to participate when the #NYG offseason program begins Monday. More to come on @NewsdaySports.

NY Giants considered Saquon part of the team last month, but the discussions for his new deal continue.
John Mara, franchise owner, said that he would do anything possible to keep Saquon Barkley on the team. Hopefully, the star running back will finish his NFL career with them.
However, the deal is not reached yet, and because of that, Saquon, according to NFL rules, will not be able to participate in the offseason program until he signs a contract.
If the New York franchise does not reach an agreement with Barkley for a new deal by July 15, the running back will remain in 2023 with the team under 1-year franchise tender and would earn 10 million dollars.
GM Joe Schoen has repeatedly said that the franchise wants to sign a lasting contract with Saquon.
