“I will not sign with any network than TNT,” Charles shared on NBATV after the Dallas Mavericks‘ Game 4 triumph against the Boston Celtics. “But I have made the choice that no matter the circumstances, next year is going to be my last year on TV. And I just want to share my gratitude to each person that watched me and liked me. You guys have been phenomenal to me. I can’t be more happy with my television career.”
The league has been negotiating its next media rights contracts, which would start in the 2025-26 campaign. TNT would lose its rights, and that would be the end of the “Inside the NBA.”
