Charles will retire from broadcasting career after next year.

Charles Barkley claimed the next campaign will be his final one on television.

Barkley, an unreplaceable part of the highly popular, award-winning “Inside the NBA” studio show, shared that the 2024-25 campaign will be his last with TNT and that he won’t be joining any other network after that.

“I will not sign with any network than TNT,” Charles shared on NBATV after the Dallas Mavericks’ Game 4 triumph against the Boston Celtics. “But I have made the choice that no matter the circumstances, next year is going to be my last year on TV. And I just want to share my gratitude to each person that watched me and liked me. You guys have been phenomenal to me. I can’t be more happy with my television career.”

The league has been negotiating its next media rights contracts, which would start in the 2025-26 campaign. TNT would lose its rights, and that would be the end of the “Inside the NBA.”
