Ben Foster slams Arsenal for signing 2nd goalkeeper David Raya

Ben Foster has expressed his disapproval of Arsenal’s new goalkeeper signing David Raya.

According to Foster their No.1 choice Aaron Ramsdale in more than good enough and bringing in competition is just useless.

The ex-Man United man labeled the move as “pathetic”.

“I hate it, it’s pathetic. It’s something that didn’t need to happen, right. They did not need to sign David Raya,” Foster said.

“He’s [Ramsdale] been a top goalie for two years. He’s on the edge of being England’s number one with Jordan Pickford, he’s right there.”

“When he’s full of confidence and he’s got a manager putting his arm around him, he’s as good as anyone in this country.”

Many others have expressed similar criticism, but the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has stuck by his guns and has firmly defended the move.
