Bob Huggins stated that he has never resigned from coaching West Virginia and is fully committed to get back his job once he solves his court issues, according to his attorney.
David Campbell, Huggins attorney, wrote to the university that Huggins “never signed a resignation letter and never communicated a resignation to anyone at WVU,”.
Huggins was charged on June 16 following a breath test, which estimated his alcohol being twice as much as the legal limit. His dismissal from the club followed suit the next day and assistant coach Josh Eilert was appointed as interim manager for the 2023-24 campaign.

However, that may not be the case as Campbell has pointed out and Huggins is fully determined to get back to coaching.
The 69-year-old has enjoyed an elusive career, notching 935 wins, which places him 3rd in the all-time ranking behind Mike Krzyzewski with 1,202 and Jim Boeheim with 1,015.
