Bowness joined the Jets with a 3 season contract as that happened last summer; as for the final year of the deal, Winnipeg can decide if they want to keep him or not.
Rick spent 13 years as head coach in the NHL and finished with a 46-33-3 record past season at the helm at Winnipeg.
“I thought he did fantastic, not just Bowness but the entire managing staff,” the general manager said during his finish-of-the-season media meeting today.
“At a certain period, maybe, you would have liked more stability, but they instilled those matters. In Rick’s position, he’s more than satisfying going into the year with his deal as is.”
