Hollywood star Brad Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris filmed footage for an upcoming Formula One feature film at the British Grand Prix this weekend.
The pair was wearing the kit of the fictional APXGP team and mingled with the real F1 drivers in the Silverstone garages. They even shot footage of the starting grid. Among the film’s producers is seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, and the final production will be available on Apple’s streaming platform.
“I’m a little giddy to be honest. It’s great that we’re here. It’s super fun and it’s one of the most interesting days of my entire life,” Pitt said.

The 59-year-old actor revealed that his character is a pilot from the 1990s. However, he has moved on to different car series after a “terrible accident”. His friend and team owner Javier Bardem is trying to bring him back to the championship, as his team is in last place in the standings.
Brad Pitt was spotted at the British Grand Prix today to film scenes for his untitled F1 racing drama, which Joseph Kosinski is directing.

“We’re trying to make everything as authentic as possible. The producers hired experts from Formula 1 who look after the film as they would a real team. Among the producers is Lewis (Hamilton). He insists that we all show the sport the respect it deserves and wants us to know what it really is. To be honest, I had no idea what the drivers were going through. I have a lot of respect for them.”
