Chris Jones didn’t appear at the beginning of the Kansas City Chiefs training camp, and the player and the organization are “far apart” on agreeing on a new deal.

Chris has 1 year left on a 4-year, 80 million dollar deal that he inked in 2020, which made him the 9th highest-paid defensive tackle in the NFL when we count the average salary.
The player also missed the Kansas City mandatory minicamp last month.
The defensive tackle will be fined 50,000 dollars for each day he misses, as that’s the negotiated amount between the league and the players’ association.
Chris evened his career high in the past campaign with almost 16 sacks, as he ranked 4th in the National Football League and at the top among interior pass-rushers. Jones was chosen 1st team All-Pro for the 1st time in his career after being in the 2nd team selections 3 times.
Kansas City Chiefs will start their camp on Sunday at Missouri Western State University.
