Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will likely undergo surgery on his right knee after it was revealed today that he tore his meniscus. It is the second consecutive major injury to the same knee for the winger since the torn ligaments two years ago.
Leonard got injured during the first game in the quarterfinal series of the Western Conference against the Phoenix Suns. He gritted his teeth and participated in the first two games, in which he scored 69 points, but then the Clippers’ medical staff decided it was best to keep Kawhi out of the team’s next games until it was clear the exact extend of his injury.

Thus ended the season for Kauai and the Clippers, as LA lost to the Suns 4-1 in the series. It was another failed season for the Clippers due to injuries, as the other big star of the team – Paul George, failed to recover in time and missed the series with the Suns.
