Dan Snyder has been fined by the NFL with $60m for sexual harassment on his own employee and for failing to inform about financial improprietes of his chief executive.
The Commanders recently changed ownership to Josh Harris in a record-breaking deal worth $6.05bn. But the NFL released a 23-page statement, where they implement e 1% of the prize as a fine for Snyder’s misconduct.
The investigation was led by former Securities and Exchange Commission chair Mary Jo White and conducted by her law firm, Debevoise & Plimpton. The league had pledged to make the findings of the probe public.
The employee in question is Tiffani Johnston, as Snyder allegedly placed his hand on her thigh and dragged her into his car at a dinner.
“The findings do speak for themselves. In both cases, it’s inappropriate, it’s wrong, it doesn’t match our values,” Commissioner Roger Goodell said.
