Goalkeeper Craig Anderson will sign a one-day contract to end his career with the Ottawa Senators.
It hasn’t been officially announced by the Canadian team yet, but the NHL is saying it will happen before Tuesday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. After that, the 42-year-old Anderson will start working as a mentor to the young players in the Sabers team.
Anderson, 42, played 20 seasons in the NHL. He played for six teams, but the majority of his career was spent in Ottawa, where he played 435 of his 709 games.
